The district, working with its maintenance and operations contractor, Russian River Utility, has established a formal plan to keep water flowing to customers under a variety of emergencies, including earthquake, fire, flood, hazardous materials spills and power failure.
We are integral to the County of Sonoma’s emergency response system, which designates the Forestville Fire Protection District facility (on Mirabel Road in Forestville, across from Russian River Utility) as the area’s emergency operations center. It is from there that emergency assistance will be coordinated.
The district is also a member of the State of California’s Water Agency Response Network, which means we can ask for help from public water districts throughout the state.
